LG Boss To Create Dev Agency In Omuma
Ahead of today’s democ
racy day celebrations in Rivers State, the newly elected Chairman of Omuma Local Government Council, Mr Chidi Oluo says he would create an Omuma Development Agency as part of efforts to bring democracy dividends to the people.
Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt, Wednesday, Oluo hinted that the agency would, among other things take care of the payment of fees and bursary for students of the area.
Similarly, he assured that any Omuma student that makes first class at the university would be sponsored for Masters Degree programme by the council.
Promising to run an open door policy that would ensure positive change in Omuma, Oluo said he would create a Drug Revolving loan for the health sector and skill acquisition centre to train Omuma youths in relevant trades.
The council boss also stated that he would re-introduce public works services in the area to engage the people, particularly, youths.
Oluo thanked Omuma stakeholders for giving the people of Eberi Dike Omro, comprising wards one and two, an opportunity to serve, after several years of neglect.
He expressed delight the massive support of Omuma people irrespective of party differences, assuring that he will never disappoint them.
