Divergent Views Trail Continuation Of Amnesty Programmes
Residents of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital have expressed divergent views over the Federal Government Amnesty Programme for Agitators of the Niger Delta region. While some called for total scrapping of the programme others suggested that the incoming administration of the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari should continue with the programme but modify its implementation.
One of the respondents, Nnodim Christian, said the programme is a laudable initiative and a legacy of the administration of Late President Musa Yar’Adua.
