Cleric Doubts Buhari’s Fulfilment Of Campaign Promises
A popular gospel min
ister, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, has expressed doubt over the ability of Muahmmadu Buhari administration to implement some of the campaign promises made to the people.
Achudume made the remark while reacting to questions posed by Journalists shortly after the dedication ceremony of Master Emmah Oku Ita, the first grandchild of Bishop Emmah Isong of Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI), Calabar.
His remarks came even as Bishop Isong advised every couple who are in need of the fruit of the womb to learn to wait upon God whenever they have challenges in their marriage.
Achudume, who is a presiding pastor of Victory Life Bible Church, Abeokuta, charged the Buhari administration to ensure a peaceful co-existence of people in Nigeria.
As a man of God, I don’t have confidence in men; I have trust in God. If men were to rule us the way they think, we would go nowhere”.
The gospel minister averred that all the people need in life is a divine intervention to take hold because the promises of All Progressives Congress (APC) can’t do it. Global economy is changing so they can’t promise within the circumference of Nigeria as a country without considering the global economy.
Nigeria does not exist in isolation; there are promises they made which I have analysed and I would vehemently say that those promises are not practicable. They can’t implement them,” the gospel minister said.
Earlier, the child’s parent, Pastor and Mrs. Oku Ita, attributed the baby’s safe delivery to the grace of God.
The event was attended by Cross River State deputy Governor-elect, Prof Ivara Esu, among other dignitaries in the state who graced the occasion.
