Abonnema Roads, Bridge 94% Completed – RSG
The Rivers State
Government says the rehabilitation of Abonnema internal roads and construction of a bridge to connect Obonoma Community with Abonnema is more than 94 per cent completed.
The State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari made this known while reacting to an allegation of impropriety and corruption levelled against the government recently.
According to the statement, the roads rehabilitation and building of a bridge was because the old bridge was failing and needed a new one for support.
The statement noted that the roads had also been asphalted while the approach to the bridge is nearing completion.
It stated that these are verifiable facts and that the administration of Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has an enviable score card.
“The records are available for public scrutiny. It has recorded impressive gains in governance and development, and committed to making the state from the coasts to the hinterland an inclusive domain, the Rivers of positive possibilities”, the statement further stated.
The project was contracted to Messrs Marteli Global Services Limited.
The project when fully completed will no doubt ease transportation in and around the area.
