Bonny Seafarers Boss Wants Job For Members

Seafarers, Comrade. Abinye Ezekiel-Hart, has again appealed to companies operating within the area to help engage members of the body to curb unemployment in the area.
Ezekiel-Hart who made the appeal in a telephone chat with our correspondent in Port Harcourt yesterday said the seafarers Association in Bonny has qualified Maritime workers that are seeking employment, and noted that any engagement would definitely reduce the rate of unemployment.
He disclosed that although four of their members were employed in 2014, but hoped that more would be gainfully employed this year, and further appealed to the companies to help in reducing the unemployment rate in the society.
The comrade hinted that talks are on with some companies, although only those that are coming into the area nearly are willing to assist, and stressed that the youths are also ready to co-operate with the companies for peaceful business atmosphere.
On piracy on the water ways, Hart further appealed to the authorities to fortify security by providing gunboats with Sophisticated arms and ammunitions at strategic points of the waterways to challenge and curb the menace.
He called on the Nigerian Maritime Administration and safety Agency (NIMASA) to beef up security activities inorder to maintain their image on security of lives and property on the waterways.
