FG Declares Christmas, New Year Holidays
The Federal Government has declared Thursday, December 25 and Friday 26, 2014 as public holidays to mark this year’s Christmas and Boxing Day Celebrations.
A statement issued yesterday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Eng. Abubakar Magaji indicated that Thursday, January 1st, 2015 has also been declared as work-free day to mark the New Year.
The Minister of Interior, Comrade Patrick Abba Moro, also used the medium to urge all Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Christmas to their daily living and contribute to the development of the nation.
“Comrade Abba Moro further urged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the country,” the statement added.
