RSG Plans Corporate Awards …Inaugurates 5-Man Committee
The Rivers State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Chima Chinye, has stated the preparedness of the state government to honour some outstanding corporate citizens that have contributed to the economic growth of the state.
Chinye made this known during the inauguration ceremony of a five-man committee saddled with the responsibilities of planning and organizing the award programme.
The State Commerce and Industry boss also noted that considerations would be given to companies that have contributed to the social stability of the state.
He said the committee would determine the criteria for the selection of the companies, as well as raise fund for the successful execution of the award programme.
The Commissioner charged the Committee to work in the interest of the state, stressing the need for transparency in the execution of the responsibility.
In her response, the Chairman of the Committee and General Manager of Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation Port Harcourt, Ms Medline Tador thanked the Commissioner for the initiative.
She assured that members of the committee will use their professional skills to make the corporate award a great success.
Other members of the committee include, Mrs Elizabeth Obulo (Secretary), Mrs Gina Daka, Mr. Michael Ogolo and Mr.Moses Harry.
