Sekibo Picks Senatorial Polls Nomination Form
The Senator representing
Rivers East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Chief George Thompson Sekibo, has picked the nomination and intent form to recontest for the seat under the Peoples Democratic party (PDP).
Speaking with journalists in Port Harcourt after picking the forms at the PDP secretariat Monday, Senator Sekibo thanked the people of his Senatorial District for their calls on him to return to the senate for the third time and premised to represent them more effectively.
He enjoined PDP members not to be distracted as all APC members are products of the PDP, and thanked all for their support and encouragement.
Also speaking, a member of the House of Representative representing Okrika-Ogu/Bolo federal constituency, Hon Bright Gogo said with the antecedents of Senator Sekibo, he deserved another chance, and that they would stand behind the man that had touched the lives of the people.
Gogo noted that Senator Sekibo’s effective representation in the National Assembly and his embarking on projects that touched the lives of people at the grassroot had endeared him to all and urged all to vote for him so that he would continue to give them the best.
In his remarks, the member of the Rivers State House of Assembly representing Ogu/Bolo constituency, Hon Evans Bapakaye Bipi described Senator Sekibo as a good man who had been representing his people well through his contributions on the floor of the House.
Bipi said the collection of Senate forms by the senator Sekibo had doused tension amid rumours of Governorship ambition and called on the people of the state to give their maximum support to the Peoples Democratic Party and vote all their candidates come 2015 elections.
