Schalke expected to have lined up their African stars, namely Super Eagles striker Chinedu Obasi, Black Stars midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng and including the Cameroonian duo of Joel Matip and Eric Choupo-Moting.
In Group H, Porto hosted Atletico Bilbao in an Iberian derby in Lisbon. Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar and Algerian midfielder Yacine Brahimi, who is in red hot form with three goals from two games for Porto were on duty.
