Eze Robinson Warns Against Violence
The Eze Ekpeye Lobo II,
HRM Eze Robinson . O. Robinson has called the people of Ekpeye to shun all forms of violence in order to attract investors to the area.
The Eze Robinson stated this, during a “thank you” visit by the people of Igbu-Igbuduya clan led by Eze Joshua Eyiba in his palace.
He noted that the smooth road networks provided for his people by the state government were due to their peaceful coexistence and support for the government, noting that no meaningful project can thrive in a hostile environment.
Eze Robinson noted the 24 years of chieftaincy struggle in the area and the subsequent recognition by the Ameachi-led government stating that the Igbu-Igbuduya stool was a 3rd class stool, elevated to a 2nd class chieftaincy stool due to the attention of governor Amaechi to their request.
He dedicated the visit to the governor, saying that the governor had cleaned their tears after countless failed promises by past military and civilian government in the state.
The retired military officer, also charged the Eze Igbu-Igbuduya, to lead his people like the biblical Joshua to the promised land.
In his response, the Igbu-Igbuduya monarch, Eze Eyiba pointed out that he would have suggested a third tenure for Amaechi due to his astute leadership style, but for the constitutional provision of not more than two tenures for governors in the country.
He said that the governor was being persecuted due to his determination to protect the interest of Rivers people, and expressed confidence in his leadership.
He lauded the Eze Ekpeye and the entire Igbu-Igbuduya clan for their support and prayed God to bless their endeavours.
