American Preacher Cautions FG On Weapons Of Mass Destruction
An American-based preacher
Tony Onyetador has cautioned the Federal Government against investing in weapons of mass destruction but to trust on the word of God.
Speaking at the 1st session of the 7th Synod of the Diocese of Niger Delta North at St. Barnabas Church, Elekahia, Onyetador also described the activities of the Boko Haram as unislamic and inhuman, noting that the quoram does not encourage moslems to kill in the name of Allah.
He said that since Jesus Christ would come back to judge the world, those who killed Christians and people of other faiths are not true messengers of God.
According to him, true islamists are not killers and suicide bombers as God is father to people of all faiths.
Onyetador, stressed the need for Nigerians to cultivate the habit of tolerance with love as this is an ingredient for peace and security.
“It is good for Nigerians to dwell together in unity, peace and security and fear of the Almighty God”.
He said that poverty, riches private jets will not provide security, but righteousness, stating that whoever disobeys the word of the Almighty God brings destruction upon himself.
He said, “we must fight ignorance with education. No nation can preserve its freedom in the midst of continuing war”.
“We must tolerate one another. Religion must not be used to wage war, religions should be used to make peace.
“We must consistently preach the glad tiding, and good news of the prince of peace “ a leader should save lives not destroy it. Both Jews, Christians and Moslems should love one another. We must pursue what makes for peace and harmony” he added.
