The Authority’s daily “Shipping Position” publication, made available tour correspondent in Lagos, said five of the ships were carrying petrol, two with base oil, while two others were loaded with Low-Pour Fuel Oil and aviation fuel.
The publication said that the remaining four ships were carrying “bulk rice, general cargo, semi-trailer and steel products”.
It also said that 53 ships carrying various items would sail into the Lagos ports between April 30 and May 28.
“Two of the ships will arrive with petroleum products and 27 containers with various goods,” it stated.
It said that 51 of the vessels were laden with bulk wheat, general cargo, bulk malt, bulk fertiliser and bulk rice.
Other items conveyed by the ships, according to the publication, are bulk sugar, rice-in-bag, charcoal, pet coke, soda ash and fresh fish.
The NPA further said that 21 ships were currently discharging containers and various commodities at the ports.
