Emirates Extends New York Cosmos Sponsorship Deal
Emirates Airline has
said it will sponsor the New York Cosmos for another two years in a deal announced by the organisation.
According to the company, football legend, Pele, who is Honorary President of the club was present at the announcement ceremony in Dubai.
Although Emirates shirt sponsorship only began in June 2013, the reformed New Yorth Cosmos have become the airline’s most successful team in the past year, winning the Fall championship and the soccer Bowl in the United States.
“It would seem the Emirates’ Magic has worked again, the New York Cosmos progress is nothing short of meteoric and the extension of our sponsorship agreement enables this wonderful journey with Emirates to continue. As our cabin crews said, welcome back on board “Emirates” Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations Centre, Majid Al Mualla.
Speaking the Chairman, New York Cosmos, Seamus O Brien said, we are honored to be associated with such a world-class brand. This agreement underlines how much both organisations value this relationship and the new deal reaffirms Emirates belief in what we are trying to achieve at the Cosmos.
Also speaking Pele said Emirates has played a big part in the reboot of the New York Cosmos.
