Man ‘O’War Seeks Police Partnership To Tackle Crime
The Rivers State Command of Man ‘O’ War has solicited a partnership with the Nigerian Police in a bid to curb crime in the society.
The State Commander of Man ‘O’ War, Amb Kriss Rissi made the appeal while addressing newsman last week in Port Harcourt.
He said that the command came up with the idea after a thoughtful observation of crime rate in the state.
Rissi, noted that the Man ‘O’ War could effectively handle the situation at all levels, considering its grassroot knowledge of the society.
He also called on the federal government and other relevant agencies to clearly define the duties of the Man ‘O’ War, so as to enable them function independently like other paramilitary organisations.
According to him, the organisation was committed to leadership training, hence the need to give them full assignment by the authorized agencies.
The Man ‘O’ War boss, also thanked God for keeping Rivers people out of trouble, even in the face of serious political turmoil that greeted the state recently.
Earlier, he has lauded all clerics who took time to pray for the state till this time of the year, while thanking the state security service, military and others whom he said are able to maintain peace in the state.
