IEI Introduces Insurance Scratch Cards For Vehicles
International Energy Insur
ance Plc (IEI) has introduced third-party insurance scratch cards for private cars, trucks and motorcycles.
The Managing Director, IEI, Mrs. Roseline Ekeng, said the product would operate on an online platform through which members of the public could have access to genuine third-party motor insurance.
She said, “The recent regulatory mandate that made the third-party motor, owners-occupiers liability and professional indemnity insurance compulsory has also created a retail business opportunity for the insurance industry.
“In a strategic response to meet that need, IEI introduced the third-party motor scratch card.”
According to her, the third-party motor insurance online platform will be powered by technology and seamless customer service, hence the need for a vibrant call centre that will swiftly respond to consumer challenges.
The managing director explained that the IEI call centre was fully equipped with the IP PBN solution and high class customer interaction management solution software, a CRM Microsoft licence and full service support from Ameyo.
According to her, the essence for a top class call centre is to create a very useful customer information and insight that will become very handy for technology-based product development, and will take insurance to everybody.
“Having a customer management unit within the system is of necessity to optimally serve our customers,” she said.
Ekeng noted that the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM’s) mandate for compulsory insurances had opened up a huge opportunity for retail and micro insurance business, and that IEI would tap into it with the aid of technology.
She explained that retail business was the way to create massive insurance penetration in Nigeria.
According to the managing director, the online scratch card comes in different denominations and costs, adding that the main objective was to make genuine third-party and motor insurance accessible and affordable to all.
