Youths Hail Amaechi’s Model School Initiative
Youths of Mba community in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, have commended Governor Chibuike Amaechi for approving a new model primary school project at Okudu, the traditional headquarters of Mba town.
The youth spokesman, Mr Nnadozie Nwuzi, who made the commendation over the weekend said the project would give people of the area a sense of belonging and boost the educational development of the area.
Mr Nwuzi regretted that the Community Primary School Mba was the mother of all schools in the town but was neglected by successive administration as a result the school building collapsed forcing the children to study under a big mango tree.
“The school which had complete educational infrastructure including accommodation for academic and non academic staff today became a shadow of itself,” he said and lauded the present administration led by Gov Amaechi for remembering the school.
Describing Governor Amaechi as a blessing to Mba town, he stressed that the town had been abandoned in the past but expressed joy that the administration of Gov. Amaechi constructed a circler road project, embarked on electrification of the town and promised unalloyed support and loyalty of youths of the town to the administration of Gov. Amaechi.
He assured that the projects would be protected and urged parents to ensure that their children and wards who were withdrawn from the school owing to the poor state of the school be recalled.
The youths equally commended the Ogbuga I of Etche, Chief Ambrose Nwuzi for his strong support in ensuring that their plea got to the governor and described the traditional ruler as a philanthropist and who had contributed enmensely to the soico-economic development of Mba.
The youths urged other privileged sons and daughters of Etche to emulate him.
