Foundation Commissions Boutique For less Privileged
The Omega Power Ministry Foundation, an arm of the Omega Power Ministry (OPM), has opened a free boutique for members of the public.
The General Overseer of OPM Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere told newsmen shortly after the commissioning of the boutique at the Ministry’s headquarters along Eliozu in Port Harcourt that the gesture was in line with the Biblical injunction of meeting the needs of the poor and downtrodden in the society.
Apostle Chinyere who said that the boutique would be opened once every month to members of the public irrespective of tribal and religious inclinations quoted several verses of the Holy Bible to buttress his claim.
He said Jesus Christ had directed Christians to come and feel the poor.
“I was naked and you clothed me. Today in fulfillment of the word of God, we decided to cloth those that God want us to help. So today, I officially opened the OPM free boutique”, he said.
Apostle Chinyere said that the free boutique was one of the numerous programmes of the ministry geared towards helping the poor, adding that other programmes were, a free restaurant for people, distribution of free kerosene to members of the public, while the ministry had embarked on the construction of a tuition free schools for members of the public.
