COREN Gets New Registrar
The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has appointed Mr Wopa Maliki as the new Registrar.
The information is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by the Head Public Relations unit of COREN, Mr Gabriel Alum.
Alum said that the appointment was approved by the President of COREN, Mr Ibikunle Oguntayo, and other council members.
He explained that Maliki would take over from Mr Felix Atume, who has completed his second tenure as the Registrar of COREN.
Maliki was till his appointment, Director, Water Resources Engineering Services, Ministry of Water Resources, Kwara State.
The new registrar who hails from Ilorin, was born on Jan. 2, 1960.
He is a fellow, Nigerian society of Engineers.
He has held many positions, including chairman, Nigeria Society of Engineers, llorin Branch, and Member Kwara State Permanent Board of Survey.
Maliki has also served as the COREN Zonal Supervising Engineer.
