Oshiomhole Hails FG Over Benin Airport Facelift
Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has commended the Federal Government over the ongoing transformation in the aviation sector.
The governor, at the official opening ceremony of the remodelled general aviation terminal of the Benin Airport on Friday, said the effort would go a long way in enhancing capacity and better air traffic.
Commending the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, the governor said change could only come about when those in charge recognised the need for it.
He said, “We believe that in a changing world, those who are ready for change are the ones that can move with it.
“In appreciating what you are doing here, we are also appreciating the President, without whose go-ahead, this project would not have been completed.”
Oshiomhole urged the ministry to give consideration to making the airport a 24-hour hub of activities.
Dignitaries at the ceremony included the minister, Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation, Hope Uzodinma; Senator Domingo Obende and top officials of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria.
