The Tide Director Bags Award
Director of Finance and Accounts of the Rivers State
Newspaper Corporation (RSNC), Mr
Alfred Ojo has been presented
with a meritorous award by the Joint Assembly of Niger Delta Youths.
Presenting the award on behalf of the Assembly during a
courtesy call on the finance director, the youth President, Mr Gershon Bob
Princewill said that the award was in recognition of his excellence and
diligent service to the state.
Mr Princewill said that the group was in the forefront of
promoting and encouraging excellence among Rivers men and women in all areas
of human endeavour.
“Now that the rate of moral decadence is high in the
society, anywhere we find proficiency and excellence amongst Rivers men and
women in the leadership in the echelon of civil service and in the private
sector, we quickly rush to recognize them,” he said.
“Today, we have come to celebrate a man who has put in so
much in the service of the state”. he said, adding that the group is in the
forefront of promoting entrepreneurial activities among youths in the region.
Responding, Mr Alfred Ojo said that he lacked words to
express his appreciation to the group for the honour done him, but however,
stated that the award will spur him to render more service to the state.
