Dappa Biriye Cup Final Holds ‘Morrow
All roads lead to Port Harcourt Club football stadium
tomorrow for the grand finale of the 18th edition of late Elder Statesman and
Nationalist, Chief Pere Harold Dappa-Biriye football cup competition.
The final, which is between Obuzor United Football Club of
Rivers State and Yenagoa City Football Club of Bayelsa is expected to be
exciting as the two teams are battle
ready to exhibit good soccer artistry in the contest for the coveted trophy.
To pick the ticket for the finals Obuzor United
walloped Diamond Stars of Cross River
State 2 – 0, while Yenagoa City FC pipped Batani Utd of Delta State 1-0 in the
semi final games.
A statement by he President General of League of Character
Clubs Nigeria, organizers of the annual competition, Chief Christian Kokoriko,
said dignitaries from all walks of life are expected to grace the occasion
including all the six South-South Governors in Nigeria, while the Royal father
of the day will be HRM E.N.B. Opurum.
The statement assured that the final would played under
peaceful atmosphere.
