Sachet Honey Production Gets N9.9m Lifeline
The Federal Government through its “You Win” programme has supported a Zaria-based youth entrepreneur in Kaduna State with N9.9 million for the production of sachet honey.
Malam Umar Faroug-Idris, the Chief Executive Officer of Zaria Sachet Honey Packaging Company, told our correspondent in Zaria on Monday that the support would enhance his business.
He said that the support would not only assist his small-scale business, but would also pave way for more vacancies in the company.
This, according to him, will generate more employment opportunities for youths and other unemployed members of the society.
Farouq-Idris confirmed the receipt of its first installment of N990,000, and said that he was expecting subsequent payments in due course.
On the new product to the designed and introduced by the company, he said that the company would develop a 20 millilitre honey in sachet.
While commending the Federal government, as well as the Federal Ministry of Finance for making the “You Win” programme a big success, Farouq-Idris prayed for the success of the programme.
He advised all other beneficiaries of the grant to make judicious use of the money for the programme to serve the purpose for which is was designed.
Farouq-Idris also urged Nigerian youths to strive hard to be educated and become entrepreneurs simultaneously, adding that the government alone would not be able to provide jobs for all.
