Ondo Commissioner Tasks Residents On Sanitation
The Ondo State Commissioner for Environment and Mineral Resources, Mr Folagbade Ebiseni, has called on the people of the state to always ensure a clean environment for healthy living.
Ebiseni made the call on Saturday in Akure while inspecting the monthly sanitation in the state observed between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.
He said that the state government was committed to the exercise and would not hesitate to ensure that everybody participated as directed.
The commissioner said that a number of people had been apprehended by the law enforcement agents for prosecution.
People were seen sweeping their surroundings and clearing refuse and drainages along the roads.
Security agents were out to arrest members of the public who did not comply with the government’s directive.
Officials of the Ondo State Waste Management Authority were also seen clearing refuse at the market sites and other points for disposal.
