Amaechi Seeks Christians’ Support To Tackle Insecurity
The Rivers State Governor Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has solicited the support of Christians to check the rising tide of insecurity in the nation.
Rt Hon Amaechi who said this, Monday in Port Harcourt while declaring open the 2012 Love World Exhibition organised by Christ Embassey Church said that the government needs the prayers of Christians to transform the society.
The Governor who was represented by the Special Adviser on the Millenium Development Goal (MDG) Dr Tex Wariboko commended the Christ Embassy for its support to the government in the area of healthcare peace and security.
He particularly noted that the Rhapsody of Realities, a publication by the church is now synonymous with Christians in Nigeria.
Earlier at a press briefing, the chairman of the 2012 Love World Exhibition Committee Pastor Tony Adoroja said the exhibition was to enlighten the people on the vision, mission and message of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and how it has grown consistently and its impact on the global scale.
Pastor Adoroja said that, the church has set up various arms to reach out to the people.
According to him, “the church is reaching the people through the Rhapsody of Realities, a publication which is now being read across the world, the healing ministry as well as through Satellite Television”.
The Church, he said, has been engaged in taking care of destitutes especially those found in the streets, while campus ministry, an arm of the church is bringing people to Christ.
