Rivers Angels Storm Robo FC for Away Points
Teslim Balongun Stadium, Lagos would be the centre of attraction for soccer fans this weekend as Rivers Angles FC of Port Harcourt visit Robo FC of Lagos in one of the week two matches of the 2012 Women’s Premier League season.
The match which is expected to be interesting would no doubt be a tough one for the Angels as the homers would want to grab the home points at stake.
Though the Angels are determined to go for victory, their opponents would certainly want to frustrate them, especially with the advantage of playing at home.
However, Rivers Angels FC who are in high spirit this season said they would only settle for a win as they are targeting to go on an unbeaten run early in the season.
Earlier, the assistant coach of Rivers Angels FC, Whyte Ogbondah said that the match might not be an easy encounter, but the Angels would sail through.
“We have set targets for this league season, for us to achieve our goal we need to secure outright win to emerge victorious this year”, Ogbondah maintained.
It would be recalled that Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt, defeated arch rivals Bayelsa Queens FC 3rd in the league open game played in Port Harcourt last Saturday.
