National Foundation Academy Eyes Shell Cup
Coach David Emunefe of National Foundation Academy, Delta, at the weekend expressed confidence that his team would win the 2012 Shell/NNPC Cup.
Emunefe told the Tidesports that his team’s 5-4 victory in the semi-final against Mafoni Secondary School Maiduguri, would boost the players’ morale to lift the trophy.
The coach described the semifinal win through penalty shoot out as a dream come true for himself and his team.
“I am delighted in getting to the final of the Shell/NNPC Cup and I am confident that we will win the tournament.
“We have come a long way in the competition, and now that we are in the final, it is a positive indication that we are lifting the cup.”
Tidesports reports that the National Football Academy, Delta would meet the winners of the second semi-final encounter, Kwara Football Academy in the final.
