Falcons, Cameroonians’ Referees Arrive Tomorrow
Referees for Saturday’s London 2012 Olympic Games qualifying match between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Lionesses of Cameroon are due in Abuja tomorrow.
Referee Nabikko Ssemmanbo, 1st Assistant Referee Diana Junia Mukasa, 2nd Assistant Referee Rehmah Kizito and.Fourth Official Irene Namubiru will fly into Nigeria tomorrow aboard an Ethiopian Airline flight from Addis Ababa.
Saturday’s match is the first leg of the final qualifying fixture that will determine one of Africa’s representatives at the Women’s Football Tournament of next year’s Summer Olympics in London. The other fixture is between Ethiopia and South Africa.
The Match Commissioner for the game is Mrs Anastasia Tschilas, a prominent women’s football financier in South Africa and member of CAF Women’s Football Committee, who will arrive in Lagos to night aboard a South African Airways flight and connect to Abuja tomorrow.
The Super Falcons represented Africa at the Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
