Sylva Reassures On Dev Of Bayelsa
Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Timipre Sylva has said that economic growth of the oil rich state is non negotiatble, calling for imputs from well-meaning people of the state, and the newly sworn-in Special Advisers.
Stating this at the swearing-in ceremony of the new Special Advisers, the governor, who was represented by his Deputy, ChiefWerinipre Seibarugu, said this became imperative in order to ensure the success of his administration.
On the appointment of the new Special Advisers, the governor said their appointment was based on their track records, calling on them to justify the confidence repose on them by the entire people of the state.
Also, he called on them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the course of discharging their constitutional responsibility, which, according to him centred on the socio-economic development of the state.
As a warm-up to the nation’s April general election, the governor reiterated his commitment to the growth of the state, calling for the support of the entire people m the state at ensuring his re-election.
The newly sworn-in Special Advisers were Mr. Jackson Suokiri – Labour and Productivity, Mr. Alex Eseimokumoh – House of Assembly Matters and Mrs. Vivian Ere-Imananaghan – Gender Empowerment.
