Group Vows To Deliver Gov Amaechi
The campaign group for Re-election of Governor Chibuike Amaechi in Rivers East Senatorial Zone says it will deliver its candidate for the next four years.
Campaign manager of the zone, Chief Mike Elechi who said this in an interview with The Tide at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa noted that “There’s every hope that we must deliver Amaechi for he next four years as Rivers People are already benefiting from his government.”
He scored the governor high in his performance adding that his achievements and projects speak of his good performance in governance.
According to him, the campaign group was doing everything possible in Ikwerre, Obio/Akpor, PHALGA, Emuola, Etche, Omuma, Okrika and Ogu/Bolo Local Government Areas to deliver Governor Amaechi.
He explained that efforts were being made to reconcile all warring factions in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) just as “we are trying to get every person on board to make them see reason.”
On decamped PDP members, the campaign manager noted that Governor Amaechi, during the primaries did not favour or disfavour anybody, rather some wanted a come back but failed, believing that they would come back because PDP is the only party that can accommodate all interested members in the country,” he emphasised.
He maintained that the opposition parties do not pose a threat to the PDP in the state noting that opposition and decamping are the beauty of democracy.
He also advised Rivers people to ensure they register in order to vote people of their choice even as he charged them to vote en-masse for Governor Amaechi and PDP candidates.
