Etim Wants Bigger Roles For Female Coaches
Nigeria has no fewer than 45 certified female football coaches and it is time to give them a bigger role in the game in the country, according to a female coach, Nnenna Etim.
Etim said in an interview with newsmen that female football coaches were not given their dues in the country.
Etim, a former assistant coach of the Super Falcons, said Nigerian female coaches were unfairly treated, adding that it was not good for the development of the game.
She called for the reversal of the situation as the achievement of Eucharia Uche, the Super Falcons handler, had erased all doubts about the capabilities of female coaches.
The coach, who owns a female football academy in Surulere, PUMA Football Academy, called on State FAs to hire female coaches for their clubs.
She said she was happy that she worked with national players like Gladys Apiah, Cynthia Uwak among others during her stint with the Falcons.
The coach called on corporate organisations to assist in the development of female football in the country.
