Rivers NULGE Debunks Sacking Of National Executive
The Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), says its National Executive Council under the leadership of Prince Kingsley Ogba is still intact.
The state President of the Union Barrister Franklin Ajinwon said this in an interview with newsmen, Thursday, in Port Harcourt.
Barrister Ajinwon described as false the purported removal of Prince Ogba-led national committee by the National Industrial Court (NIC), noting that the decision was to maintain the status quo until the resolution of the matter pending in the Court of Appeal.
He urged those peddling rumour of the purported removal to desist saying that Nugle, both at the state and national levels, will not be distracted by their activities.
Meanwhile, the state council of Nulge has attributed the continuous withholding of its check off dues by some councils in the state on parochial interests.
Barrister Ajinwon who named the local governments as Obio/Akpor, Ahoada West, Akuku-Toru and Asari-Toru local government areas, further said that the union would soon come up with decision concerning the councils.
He used the occasion to call on members to remain focused, saying that Nulge will continue to protect their interest.
