LSCA Lauds 20-20 Cricket Sponsors
The Chairman, Lagos State Cricket Association (LSCA), George Wiltshire, has commended the management of the Guaranty Trust Assurance (GTAssur) Plc for its continuous sponsorship of the 20-20 Cricket championship.
Wiltshire told newsmen on Sunday in Lagos after the final of the championship recently, that the association was proud to be associated with the insurance outfit.
GTAssur has been sponsoring the 20-20 cricket competition since 2008.
“We in LSCA are very happy and indeed proud to be associated with a strong brand like GTAssur,’’ Wiltshire said.
The Lagos cricket chief also expressed appreciation to Tosin Runsewe-led management of the company for not only sponsoring the third edition of the championship but for improving on its packaging.
Wiltshire also hailed the teams that participated in the tournament for their discipline and sense of fairness.
Earlier, Toyin Runsewe, Chief Client Officer of the company, commended LSCA for the successful organisation of the competition.
He described the 20-20 cricket championship as the fastest growing format of the game presently because of its media appeal.
Segun Olayinka of the Cricket Club, Government College, Ibadan (GCICC) emerged the Man-of-the-final-match, while Femi Solebo from Ibeju-Lekki Cricket Club (ILCC) won the Batsman-of-the-series award.
Kunle Adegbola (GCICC) bagged the Fieldsman–of–the–series award of the tournament which held from April 3 to May 9.
