Institute Honours Ex-NBA Boss
The former chairman of Ahoada Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Barrister Emeka Ichoku has bagged the prestigious award of excellence in Law of the American Biographical Institute (ABI).
President of the Institute, J. M. Evans said Barrister Ichoku’s nomination for the award was in recognition of his doggedness in legal practice and his tireless contribution to the development of the legal profession.
He said Barrister Ichoku emerged the winner after an extensive review of his professional achievements and contributions to legal practice.
He congratulated Ichoku, explaining that the institute had collected and published over one million biographies of distinguished persons through correspondence with universities, business publications and organisations around the globe.
In his response, Barrister Ichoku who has been in legal practice for over two decades, expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the institute for considering him worthy for the award which he said will spur him into seeking greater heights in his legal practice and services humanity.
The recipient also commended the institute for recognising excellence and creativity in every field of human endeavour through their Biographical publications.
The American Biographical Institute is the publisher of Biographical reference works since 1967 and also the host of the world forum, University of Cambridge, England 2010.
In another development, Catholic women over the weekend conferred the Golden Mother Award on the mother of the Rivers State Governor, Madam Mary Amaechi.
Madam Amaechi’s award, an equivalent of “Ezinne”, was in recognition of her sterling quality and contribution to the activities of Catholic Women in the state.
