ONELGA Boss Charges CDC On Peace
The Chairman of Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, Barr, Andrew Ugwuorah has charged the newly constituted executive committee of Obrikom Community Development Committee (CDC) to embrace peace and development of the community during its tenure.
While inaugurating the newly constituted CDC exco, Barr. Ugwuorah urged them to shun divisive tendencies and take pro-active measures which will take the community to the next level of development.
The ONELGA boss however advised those who contested for various positions but failed to support and cooperate with the new exco and not to cause any breach of peace and security in the community.
In his post-election speech, the newly-elected chairman of the Obrikom Community Development Committee, Mr Ben Orisa Osoh thanked the community for reposing much confidence on new executive and promised to carry everybody along.
The chairman pledged on behalf of the the new committee to take Obrikom to the next level of development and solicited for peace and co-operation.
Similarly, ONELGA’s Supervisor for Youths, Sports, Information and Culture, Hon. Felix Olisa noted that Obrikom is blessed with abundant natural and human resources, noting that all the community requires was the cooperation of all stakeholders.
Mr Paul Isiodu who contested but failed embraced the new exco and promised to work and cooperate with the new body.
The elected officers are Ben Orisa Osoh (chairman), Ben Obi ( vice chairman), Christian Onugha (secretary general), Okwukwu Isaac (assistant secretary), Allen Dike (treasurer), Innocent Ogwe (financial secretary), Anthony Ogbowu (PRO), and Daniel Nwadike (organising secretary).
