Nigerian Coaches Back Lagerback
Nigerian coaches will give new Technical Adviser, Lars Largerback, all the support he needs to succeed, especially in the build-up to the World Cup.
Christian Chukwu, who coached the team between 2002 and 2005, told newsmen that after listening to the Swede outline his plans for the team, the coaches resolved to give him their backing “He came to our seminar, and he spoke well.
“He talked about his programme, his ambition and what he wants to and he impressed us.
“We have resolved to give him our support, not just because of what he said, but because he is one of us, irrespective of what country he comes from.”
Chukwu is under no illusions as to the enormity of the task facing Largerback.
“He has taken on a difficult job. Can he perform the miracle that we are all expecting? I don’t know. But we have to make sure that we support him to the full so that our team can do us proud at the World Cup and beyond that.”
