These faceless individuals go with forged documents, including Government House letter head, to solicite support from individuals and corporate bodies, according to a statement by the media assistant to the wife of the governor, Dike Bekwele.
The statement, titled “Forged documents of Her Excellency, Dame Judith Amaechi: A disclaimer”, made available to The Tide yesterday, cited an incident in one of the Higher institutions in the state.
“A very recent incident was a letter purportedly written on behalf of Her Excellency and signed by one Mrs. Prisca Ifeoma Ogbonna, Senior Assistant (Administration), recommending one Misheal Hekerem for employment in one of the state-owned tertiary institutions”.
The statement, which denied the existence of such name among her aides, also said Her Excellency believes in transparency and excellence and will encoverage healthy competition among Rivers people, inline with international best practices, which she has demonstrated through the activities of the empowerment support initiative (ESI).
It also warned those with the intent to perpetrate the act to desist, as security measures have been put in place to track them down.
