Customs Deploys Fresh Officials To PH
The Nigerian Customs Services (NCS) has deployed about 80 newly recruited officers to Port Harcourt area one Command for commencement of practical attachment in the service.
The Tide has gathered that these new recruited men and women of the customs have just concluded their first recruitment training at the customs training colleague and are being redeployed for practical training on the job, at various customs formations across the country.
Speaking to The Tide on the matter, the Public Relations Officer of the area one command in Port Harcourt, Mr D.A. Jack said that these new personnel numbering, about 80, were posted to the command for the commencement of practical attachment at the command.
He said that their attachment will last for at least three months, and that within this period, these new personnel will be given on the job training on the practical aspect of what they have been taught in the school in various areas of customs operations.
At the end of the exercise, the command image maker said they will be redeployed to another command where they will settle for their official job.
He said that apart from the 80 new personnel that has arrived the command, that more are being expected to join in the attachment at area one, Port Harcourt.
The Tide has observed that the deployment of these officers to the command has added colour on the crew of officers that are in the command, as most of them appears really new in the system, with newly polished shoes and uniform that clearly reflects newness to the organiSation.
Some of them that exhibited their naivty and ignorance were made to face the music, as punishment were given to them on the spot.
