NASS Member Promises Constituent’s Social Amenities
A member of the House of Representatives, Eseme Eyibo, has promised to reciprocate the kind gestuee of his constituents who voted him into office in 2007 with the provision of social amenities.
He made the pledge in Onna Local Council where he commissioned 12 boreholes he funded.
Eyibo said the projects were initiated in consultations with the community leaders.
According to him, the involvement of the leaders had made the exercise devoid of fanfare usually associated with such commissioning events.
“I have come to say thank you for solidly standing by me during the elections period. The boreholes are my community intervention scheme, wholely funded by me. These are not constituency projects, which are usually funded by government. These are privately funded by me”, he said.
The projects are sited in Eket, Esit Eket and Ibeno the councils, which made up the constituency. He charged the communities to see them as their schemes and protect them from vandals.
Eyibo also promised to sustain the partnership in and out of office as a law maker.
