UNAAB Wins Award
The University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) has emerged winner of this year’s Entrepreneurship Promoter award.
The Entrepreneurship Promotions Academy (EPA) awarded the University in the public educational institution category in recognition of its initiative in producing enterprising and self-reliant students.
Vice Chancellor of the Univerisyt, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun said the iinstitution’s commitment towards adequately equipping graduates for self-reliance cannot be compromised and expressed delight at the award.
The Vice-Chancellor who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development) Prof. Segun Lagoke noted that the award would spur the institution to do more and commended the academy for the honour done the school.
The event which was held at the Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos also featured a lecture on the theme “The way forward in Business opportunities in Agriculture and Forestry and Entrepreneurship Development in Tertiary Institutions”. The lecture was delivered by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Sam Oluwalana.
UNAAB displayed her value-Added Herbal Products (VAHELP) described as toast of the event in the institution’s Pavilion.
Co-ordinator of the Pavilion, Mrs E.O. Oluwalana was also honoured with certificate of Exhibition for her efforts in popularising the efficacy of herbal products.
Covenant University, Ota clinched the private institutions’ category award.
