Take Advantage Of Govt’s Initiative On Investment – Nwuke
The Rivers State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Prince Ogbonna Nwuke has called on Private and Foreign Investors to take advantage of the Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s Public Private Partnership initiatives.
The commissioner made the call recently in Port Harcourt, when the delegation of the Staff and Management of Pabod Supplies Limited, paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Prince Nwuke said that government was exploring the possibility of attracting investors that would take up the challenge of revitalising the ailing industries in the state.
According to him, government would look into the public private partnership arrangement to privatise some of the state investments.
Earlier, the Acting General Manager of Pabod Supplies Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Echebe expressed gratitude to the management and commended the commissioner for the warm reception accorded them.
Mr. Echebe enumerated a backlog of militating problems, which includes, low share capital, loss of distributorship with manufacturing industries, lack of working capital, outstanding salary, leave and retirement arrears among others.
