Monarch Hails Wike’s Schools’ Renovation Policy
The paramount ruler of Obaki clan in Okehi Kingdom, Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze Stanley Munoye Ogbu, has commended the renovation of the schools policy of the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration in the state.
The traditional ruler made the commendation while speaking to newsmen in his palace at Akwukabi Community at the weekend on the one hundred days in office of the governor’s asecond term.
Eze Ogbu particularly commended the Governor for the renovation and rebuilding of Government Secondary School, Ubima, the Seabed Model Primary School, Port Harcourt and the Government Craft Development Centre (GCDC), adding that such gesture underscores the Governor’s efforts and determinations to provide quality and best educational system in the state.
He urged the benefiting teachers in the affected schools to ensure that they make judicious use of the improved infrastructures provided by the State Government to teach and develop their students and pupils in line with the State Governments desire and ensure that they give in their best so as to reciprocate the state government’s gestures.
The traditional ruler however, used the fora to appeal to the State Government to extend the gesture to schools in kwukabi, ikem, ikpo within the Clan, which are in deplorable conditions.
