Woke Lists Successes Of ‘Operation Sting’ In Rivers
The Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor, Engr Chukwuemeka Woke has said that the Operation Sting introduced by Governor Nyesom Wike has checked kidnapping and insecurity on East-West Road.
He called on communities to key into the peace initiative of his administration to build security across the state.
Speaking during the dedication of Egbeda Community to God by the Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministry, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the Rivers State governor said the people should embrace God for peace and development.
The Chief of Staff said, “We have embraced peace as His Excellency, the governor of Rivers state directed. Because of the progress Operation Sting has recorded, some of these boys have decided that they will not wait for the operation to catch up with them and they have decided to accept Christ.
“The community invited the man of God, the Pastor David Ibiyeomie to come and lead them to Christ. We thank God Almighty for the success of this programme”.
He called on other communities to emulate Egbeda community, embrace Christ and enhance peaceful co-existence.
He said: “Let everybody key into the new security architecture of the government, by volunteering information and persuading their people to embrace peace”.
The Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Chief Tom Aliezi, said that the area is committed to the development of peace.
He said that the Rivers State governor would be happy that Emohua people are working assiduously towards the enthronement of peace.
Senior Pastor of Salvation Ministry, Pastor David Ibiyeomie prayed for Egbeda community and dedicated it to God, stressing that henceforth, God’s blessing and protection will reign in the troubled community.
He led some youths to Christ, while oaths were administered on the people for the peaceful development of the area.
