PPMC Sales Rep Cautions Youths Against Illegal Bunkering
The Sales Representative of the Petroleum Products Monitoring Company (PPMC), Port Harcourt Depot, Mr. Chukwuemeka Merejewe, has called on youths of Rivers State to shun illegal bunkering of petroleum products, hostage-taking, armed robbery and other social vices inimical to the development of the society and their collective wellbeing.
Mr. Merejewe, who gave the charge during the presentation of an Excellent Performance Award to him by the Joint Assembly of Rivers State Youths in Port Harcourt recently, said youths engaging in illegal bunkering of petroleum products is counter-productive, as it has the tendency and capacity of not only depleting the country’s resource base, but also endangering the lives of the youths.
While thanking the group for the honour done him, the Sales Rep noted that the youths, as the live wire of any society and tomorrow’s leaders, should always engage in meaningful activities to better their lives and wellbeing.
He assured that he would continue to do everything within his capacity to ensure constant and adequate supply of petroleum products in the State.
Earlier, the Leader of the Joint Assembly of Rivers State Youths, Comrade Gershom Bob-Achor, had while presenting the award, explained that the PPMC Sales Rep was singled out for the honour based on his proficiency in administration and excellent performance in the discharge of his duties by ensuring the availability of petroleum products in the entire State.
He lauded Mr. Merejewe for his friendly disposition towards the youths of the state, especially for creating avenues for them to be meaningfully engaged through his constant interface and interaction with them.
The youth leader thanked him for working hard to ensure the constant and adequate supply of petroleum products to inhabitants of the state, and urged him to continue with his good works.
