Institute Accredits Transport Programme In Rivers University
The Rivers State University has been accorded full accreditation to award International Diploma and International Advanced Diploma in Transport and Logistics.
This followed the presentation of the accreditation certificate to the Vice chancellor of Rivers State University, Professor Blessing Didia, by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Ttransport.
Receiving the certificate, Professor Blessing Didia said the establishment of the Institute for Logistics and Transport was long overdue in view of the strategic position of Rivers State, describing the accreditation as a major milestone in the university.
Earlier, the Deputy National Director of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Ttransport, Alban Igwe, explained that the accreditation was for an initial period of three years, while urging the university to ensure its renewal and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the institute to improve the lots of students and lecturers.
