Buhari Denies Endorsing Guber Aspirants In Rivers, Abia
President Muhammadu Buhari has refuted the rumours that he has endorsed certain governorship aspirants in Rivers and Abia States.
A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, last Saturday said that the president has not endorsed any candidate in any State of the Federation.
In the statement, Adesina said “such rumours are malicious, misleading and unnecessary at this time, when we should all concentrate on strengthening internal democracy within the APC.”
He further reiterated that it was the responsibility of the state party members to choose their flag-bearers through a democratic and peaceful process.
