‘Rivers West Senatorial District Is For PDP’
The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo has restated the determination of the people of Rivers West Senatorial District to remain faithful, steadfast in the PDP and continue to work for the success of the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration.
Banigo, who made the remarks at the Rivers West Senatorial District rally of the party at Degema, headquarters of Degema Local Government Area, said the people’s resolve follows the capacity of the PDP administration led by Wike to give governance a human face.
The deputy governor opined that since Wike became the governor of Rivers State, its lost glory was gradually being restored as evidenced by aggressive infrastructural development and improved security surveillance, especially the war against cultism and kidnapping, which has endeared the administration to both indigenes and non-indigenes.
Banigo disclosed that Rivers West Senatorial District is for the PDP, stressing that the people of the district were only waiting for when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will re-schedule the rerun elections to cast their votes for all PDP candidates.
She thanked Wike, members of the State Executive Council, legislators, chieftains of the PDP and caretaker committee chairmen of the areas under the district for taking part in the rally, and commended the people of Rivers West Senatorial District for their massive turn out despite the heavy downpour, describing it as a show of solidarity and love for the party and the government.
