New NIWA Boss Begins Work
A new Managing Direc
tor of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has assumed office. He is Gida Mustapha, who until his appointment by the President, Muhammadu Buhari wasa Deputy Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), one of the legacy parties that formed All Progressive Congress (APC).
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babchir Lawal and made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Director of Press, Bolaji Adebiyi has it that the appointment is for a term of four years in the first instance.
The statement said, “Mr Mustapha is a lawyer with extensive experience in both public and private sectors in management positions.
He hails from Adamawa State.
