The Principal of the school, Madam Uluoma Francis made the commendation when she led her students on excursion to Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, publishers of The Tide, recently.

The Tide Newspaper is the best place for them to be, since it is owned by the government, where all the necessary equipment are put in place for proper and effective functioning”, she said.
She expressed optimism that the tour would strengthen her students in their aspiration as journalists.
Earlier, the Deputy Group News Editor, Mr Reward Akwu who conducted the students around the corporation had given a brief history of the corporation which he said was established in 1971 and also explained the newsroom activities.
