Bayelsa Community Appeals To Govt For Infrastructure
The people of
Adagbabiri community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, have appealed to the state government to consider them in the provision of infrastructure in order to catch up with other communities in the state.
The Paramount Ruler and Amadaowei of Adagbabiri, King Howell Difa, said the community was facing a lot of challenges, pointing out that the community’s secondary school, had been operating on a temporary site many years after its establishment while the Craft Development Centre seemed to have been abandoned.
King Difa who made the appeal while inaugurating the new Community Development Committee, stressed the need for proper furnishing of the Craft Development Centre to enable the youths acquire skills in various trades.
He further called on government to increase the staff of the community health centre for effective service delivery as well as provide electricity and potable water for the people
Adagbabiri is one of the ancient towns in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State that has produced great sons and daughters among whom are a former senator Emmanuel Difa, Capt. Matthew Karimu, Briye Ekiye, Special Adviser to former President Jonathan.
