New Rivers Vision On Course -Banigo
The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo, says the victory of Governor Nyesom Wike at the Supreme Court last week would spur him to actualise the New Rivers Vision.
Banigo, who stated this, Friday in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt, thanked God for the victory at the apex court which affirmed the mandate of Governor Wike on April 11, 2015, stressing that Rivers people should expect even and accelerated development in the state while soliciting for the continued support of the people.
She noted that by the Supreme Court’s judgment, the political and legal tussles were over, pointing out that it is the time to work together, build a New Rivers State, and uphold peace, justice and equity, irrespective of ethnic and political affiliations.
“The New Rivers Vision is on course, and we are going to pursue the blueprint of the present administration. We expect every well-meaning Rivers indigene to work cooperatively to move the state forward”, she asserted.
